Joint Line Apprenticeship Training Association
The Joint Line Apprenticeship Training Association (JLATA) is a not-for-profit organization established February 2, 1993 by Power Line Contractors signatory to the Master Line Agreement (“Employers”) and the Local 258 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (“IBEW”), for the management, development and overseeing of the Power Line Technician Apprenticeship Program in British Columbia.
The JLATA is registered with the Industry Training Authority (ITA) and is designated as your Sponsor. The JLATA is responsible for the maintenance of Trainee and Apprentice records, reporting to the ITA, ensuring Apprentices receive a full scope of work-based training, attend technical training and complete all Apprenticeship Program and Industry requirements to successfully complete the PLT Interprovincial Red Seal Program.
